How WMSCOG Manipulates Scripture: A Deep Dive

Is the Tree of Life the Passover?

Hello and welcome to the blog. Thank you for spending some time with us today. I hope God is blessing you and your family and that you have seen His hand in your life.

Today we are going to talk about the Tree of Life. This teaching I would say is one the most important teachings of the WMSCOG. It basically classifies Ahnsahnghong as God almighty. 

Let's go!

As always we break this down into 4 parts.

1. What is the WMSCOG teaching in regards to the Tree of Life and Ahnsahnghong.

2. What is the origin of this teaching, if any?

3. What does the bible say about the tree of life?

4. Our conclusion. The tree of life is in heaven, those who overcome will receive it. 

Ok so what is the WMSCOG teaching in regards to the Tree of Life and Ahnsahnghong.

Firstly Jesus spoke in parables and uttered secrets hidden since creation Mt 13:34-35. Now death occured in the Garden of Eden due to Adam and Eve’s disobedience. But also that the solution to death is also in the garden of eden. The solution being eating from the tree of life. Even if a sinner eats from the tree of life he will live forever Ge 3:22.

The reason man comes to die is because when Adam and Eve sinned God blocked them from the tree of life Ge 3:23-24. If God blocks the way of the tree of life, it means you are destined to die. Then if God opens the way to the tree of life to Adam and Eve again, how thankful would they be to receive it?

Since all humans are destined to die it means we too must eat from the tree of life. Then what is the tree of life? Well what do you do with the tree of life, you must eat of it to receive life. What in the New Testament makes us live forever if we eat? Jesus flesh and blood (John 6:53-54). In short it means Jesus' flesh and blood is the reality of the tree of life. Then what is Jesus flesh in blood? Matthew 24:26-28 says that Jesus' flesh and blood is the Passover bread and wine.

Meaning that since Jesus brought us His flesh and blood, aka Passover aka tree of life, Jesus is therefore God because only God can unblock the way to the tree of life. Jesus came to bring us life Jn 10:10.

Then if you want to eat from the tree of life you must keep the Passover in the WMSCOG. But in history there was a very dark year in 325 ad. The council of Nicea abolished the Passover and then God (or Satan depending on the study and who is teaching you) blocked the way.

Because of the council of Nicea supervised by Emperor Constantine the Passover was destroyed and there was no truth of life on the earth. Meaning from that point on no one could be saved because there was no Passover.

Then in 1948 a man appeared from the east and restored the Passover and the Passover was back on earth. Isaiah 25:6-8 Then because of the Passover being restored it means whoever restored the WMSCOG version of Passover is God by default. 

Therefore since Ahnsahnghong restored the Passover it makes him God. Because only God can unblock the way to the tree of life, since it was God who blocked it in the first place.

That is basically it in a nutshell.

Now as far as the origin of the tree of life being something other than the tree of life, aka a secret or hidden teaching being restored. I will refer to, yet again, the divine principle written by Son Myung Moon in 1951.

Chapter 2 “the human fall” section 1 “the root of sin” part 2 “the tree of life” this is going to be a long read so be prepared.

Moon writes and I quote..

According to the Bible, the hope of fallen people is to approach or attain the tree of life: "Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a desire fulfilled is a tree of life.” Thus, the Israelites of the Old Testament Age looked to the tree of life as their hope. Likewise, the hope of all Christians from the time of Jesus until today has been to approach and partake of the tree of life: "Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and that they may enter the city by the gates." Since the ultimate hope of humankind is the tree of life, we can infer that the hope of Adam was also the tree of life.

It is written that when Adam fell, God blocked his path to the tree of life by stationing the cherubim with a flaming sword to guard it. From this we can also deduce that Adam's hope before the Fall was the tree of life. Adam was cast out of the Garden of Eden without having attained his hope, the tree of life. For fallen people ever since, the tree of life has remained a hope unfulfilled.

What was the hope of Adam during the time he was immature and growing toward perfection? He must have hoped to become a man who would realize God's ideal of creation by growing to perfection without falling. The tree of life in fact symbolizes a man who has fully realized the ideal of creation. Perfected Adam was to be this ideal man. The tree of life thus symbolizes perfected Adam.

Had Adam not fallen but attained the tree of life, all his descendants could also have attained the tree of life. They would have built the Kingdom of Heaven on earth. But Adam fell, and God blocked his path to the tree with a flaming sword. Ever since, despite the best efforts of fallen people to restore the ideal of creation, the tree of life has remained an unattainable dream. Burdened by the original sin, fallen people cannot complete the ideal of creation and become trees of life by their own efforts alone. For this ideal to be achieved, a man who has completed the ideal of creation must come to the earth as a tree of life. All of humanity must then be engrafted with him and become one with him. Jesus was the man who came as this tree of life. The tree of life for which the faithful people of the Old Testament Age longed was none other than Jesus.

Ever since God blocked Adam's path to the tree of life by guarding it with the flaming sword, the tree could not be approached without first clearing the path. On the day of Pentecost, tongues of fire descended upon the saints, and they were filled with the Holy Spirit. This event marked the clearing of the path and the moving aside of the flaming sword, which appeared as the tongues of fire preceding the rush of the Holy Spirit. It opened the way for all humanity to approach Jesus, the tree of life, and be engrafted with him.

Nonetheless, Christians have been engrafted with Jesus only spiritually. This is why the children of even the most devout Christian parents still inherit sin, which must be redeemed. Even the most faithful saints have not been rid of the original sin, and thus cannot help but transmit it to their children. For this reason, Christ must come again on earth as the tree of life. By engrafting all humankind with himself once more, he is to redeem their original sin. Christians thus impatiently await the tree of life, which in the Book of Revelation symbolizes Christ at his Second Coming.

The purpose of God's providence of salvation is to restore the failure to attain the tree of life in the Garden of Eden by realizing the tree of life mentioned in the Book of Revelation. Due to the Fall, Adam could not fulfill the ideal of the first tree of life. In order to complete the salvation of fallen humanity, Jesus, the "last Adam," must come again as the tree of life in the Last Days.

Now this is only section 2 of the whole chapter. If you want to read the whole thing I will put a link down below at the end of this article. Not going to lie things get pretty weird in regards to the original sin of man.

Before we move on to the scriptures I would like to address the WMSCOG leaders or members reading this. What we just read was written in 1951 by Reverend Moon. Now I have a question, is Reverend Moon wrong?

The Moonies claim that Moon is the second coming Christ and God the Father, the Root of David and is the last Adam who brought the tree of life. He said that the reality of the tree of life is the perfected Adam who is Jesus.

Also that the Second coming Christ comes as the Tree of Life in the last days. In short the tree of life or partaking of the fruit is becoming a perfect creation. Not the Passover that WMSCOG teaches. Then is he wrong? Why is he wrong? Is Reverend Moon a false Christ?  I'll give you a minute to think about the reasons why he is wrong.

Now that you have thought about it, you probably have developed some reasoning as to why Reverend Moon is wrong. But in reality whether you like it or not Reverend Moon is pretty in line with WMSCOG doctrine. Let me explain.

Ahnsahnghong is the tree of life, or is he not? In order for us to have eternal life we must receive Ahnsahnghong. In order for you to come to be perfect, a new creation and image of God you need the tree of life or Passover right?

Based on the principle of the WMSCOG version of Passover, you come to the conclusion that Ahnsahnghong is the second coming Christ and the tree of life. Therefore the second coming Christ comes in the last days to bring us the tree of life as the last Adam and is the tree of life. It fits perfectly.

The WMSCOG loves to tote that they are so different from everyone else and they have the perfect truth. Then when it comes to someone pointing out “hey actually this organization teaches this” the leadership in WMSCOG will then go to the “well we did it first bit” claiming originality.

Here in this case they don’t have this option. What Reverend Moon taught is basically the same as what the WMSCOG teaches. However Moon already taught THIS in 1951 29 years before Ahnsahnghong ever mentioned anything about the tree of life.

Then since that is the case the WMSCOG will likely resort to “well Father said there would be false Christs and there were 18 in Korea already at the time of writing the Green Book” or “False Christs will be similar to the true Christ” or “Just because there is a false Christ doesn't mean there isn’t a true Christ”. If Reverend Moon is a false Christ then why is his teaching in line with WMSCOG? How is that possible? 

Now I know you are probably screaming in your brain. “Reverend Moon is not the last Adam and did not restore Passover which is the tree of life”. That is a fair argument, let's analyze. So your statement is 1. that Reverend Moon is not the tree of life 2. The way to eat from the tree of life is keeping the Passover.  

Then about argument number one. What evidence do you have that Reverend Moon isn’t the tree of life? Now don’t bounce to other subjects, we are talking about the tree of life. I already went over quite a few subjects like King David, Root of David and others, and we will cover Elijah and Melchizedek in future articles so hang tight. In sticking to the subject tree of life only, what biblical evidence do you have that Reverend Moon is not the tree of life or didn’t bring the tree of life?

The only thing that probably comes to your mind is “well the tree of life is the Passover and Reverend Moon did not restore it, Ahnsahnghong did.”

Ok so then this means you're implying that the bible says that the Passover bread and wine is the Tree of Life right? Then let me ask you this. What verse says that the tree of life = passover or that the tree of life = Jesus flesh and blood. I will wait. It doesn’t exist.

You’re probably thinking well Genesis 3 says that if you eat of the tree of life you live forever, then in John 6 Jesus said if you eat his flesh and blood you will live forever. Then the tree of life = flesh and blood. Jesus gave His flesh and blood on Passover, then tree of life = Passover. 

That is called proof texting. Proof texting is the practice of using a passage of scripture as proof for a theological belief, principle or doctrine. For example the WMSCOG takes one verse from multiple different chapters and implies certain context eventually leading you to believe the Passover is the Tree of life?

Even though the bible has no verse or passages saying the Tree of Life is the Passover you still come to that conclusion. That is what the Moonies do, that is what Shincheonj does, WMSCOG does it and so do many, many other groups. That is how they have crazy doctrines and worship man instead of God.

How do you think the Moonies come up with Reverend Moon being the second coming Christ, last Adam and the tree of life? Proof texting.

How does Shincheonji come up with Lee Man Hee being the promised pastor or the New John? Proof texting.

This is how WMSCOG gets God the Mother, Ahnsahnghong is second coming Christ, last Adam, Elijah and more. It is by proof texting.

Why do all these groups condemn everyone else because they don’t follow what they themselves come up with? Proof texting.

Why do these groups say things like “how could these other churches not know these truths that we have?” Because these truths are made up from proof texting.

Then what happens when we take away the proof texting and say show me directly in the bible where your claims are written? These groups collapse.

For instance, if I was to ask a Moonie. Show me the verse where the tree of life is Adam. Or if I asked, show me the verse or passage where the tree of life is Christ himself. They have no answer. See how that falls flat on its face real quick?

That is why when I ask you WMSCOG members or leaders. Show me the verse or passage that says the tree of life is Passover or flesh and blood of Christ, you can’t. Or if I asked you to show me the verse where Jesus reigns spiritual for only 3 years? You can’t. Or if I asked, show me the verse or passage that says Jesus needs to fulfill 37 years of His second coming? You can’t.

Now I am bringing this up because so many of these groups' arguments are based on proof texting and it is extremely dangerous. What do I mean? 

Following my Moonies example, If I ask them to show me the verse that says tree of life is Christ, their response 99% of the time will be “show me the verse that says the tree of life is not Christ”. Thus making them believe they won the argument and continuing to believe in whatever Reverend Moon taught them. Do you see the danger here?

I myself have used this exact tactic before in my time in the WMSCOG. When I would preach to people saying “If you don’t keep the Sabbath Day you can’t go to Heaven” they people would respond something like “the Sabbath has been done away with through the cross” my go to response would be “show me where I can go to heaven without keeping Sabbath”. They couldn’t show it because it doesn’t exist right?

But is that a good argument I made? If you think so, then show me the verse or that passage that says if you don’t keep the Sabbath God will condemn you to hell. It doesn’t exist. For you to come to that conclusion you have to do a lot of proof texting right? So my argument is invalid to start with, meaning I actually lost to my own argument. That is the danger of proof texting.

Let me explain what I mean. These groups use proof texting to create doctrine, this doctrine is not what the bible is trying to portray. Let me give you an example of proof texting and how easy it is.

Did you know God is actually a space bird? The bible says so.

Let’s see.

Matthew 23:37-39

“Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were not willing.”

So clearly we can see that God likens Himself to a hen gathering her chicks. God is literally calling Himself a Hen, Then does this mean God is literally a hen? Well let’s see.

Luke 13:34

 “Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were not willing.”

Again we see that God refers to himself as a bird, meaning the writers are trying to tell us that God is some sort of bird. Even in the Old Testament God called himself a bird. 

Exodus 19:4

“You yourselves have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles ' wings and brought you to myself.”

God said that He took the Jews out of Egypt on eagles wings, then said I myself brought you out. Therefore God is an eagle or a bird.

Deuteronomy 32:11-12

“Like an eagle that stirs up its nest and hovers over its young, that spreads its wings to catch them and carries them aloft. The Lord alone led him; no foreign god was with him.”

Again we see the eagle taking care of its young, but God said I alone led him. Therefore again God is an eagle or a bird. Then of course this doesn’t mean God is a physical bird but a spiritual bird of sorts. Like some sort of space eagle in the cosmos. How do we know?

Romans 1:20

For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.

Here we can clearly see that God’s invisible nature has been clearly seen through what has been made. Then what did God make? Eagles and birds. So we can understand why God made eagles or birds right? To show us that God is like that spiritually.

God has wings, feathers, beak and all that. So this basically implies that God is a space eagle. Or is God lying? Of course God cannot lie.

Let’s see another verse.

Isaiah 46:10-11

I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say, ‘My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.’ From the east I summon a bird of prey; from a far-off land, a man to fulfill my purpose. What I have said, that I will bring about; what I have planned, that I will do.

God said he would summon a bird of prey or (eagle) which is man from the east. But God says I will do it, I will carry it out. Here we can clearly see that this space eagle as we know now is God, comes from the east in a human form.

Not only God but Satan too is a space bird as well. 

Matthew 13:4, 19

As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up.

When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in their heart. This is the seed sown along the path.

Who snatches the seed? A bird, but actually Jesus said the Evil One. How do we know Satan is a space bird then?

Isaiah 14:12

How you have fallen from heaven, morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations!

So where did Satan or this bird come from? Heaven. This means Satan is a space bird as well. That is also why Satan is ruler of the kingdom of the air. 

Ephesians 2:2

In which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient.

Then what kind of bird rules the air? It is the eagle, therefore Satan as well is a space eagle just like God.

Don’t accept this teaching?

Isaiah 55:8-9

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.

So if you don’t agree with this teaching clearly found in the bible then you should change your thoughts and change your ways. Because God is in a higher dimension we cannot understand why God decided to do this.

We can’t change that He is a space eagle and likens Himself to an eagle all the time. Are you more mise or knowledgeable than God? Of course you are not, you must accept the teaching in the bible. Then it means if people deny what the bible says are they true or false prophets?

Jeremiah 14:14

Then the Lord said to me, “The prophets are prophesying lies in my name. I have not sent them or appointed them or spoken to them. They are prophesying to you false visions, divinations, idolatries and the delusions of their own minds.

The false prophets who deny the truth that God and Satan are space eagles are lying to you by divinations and delusions of their own minds. They are idolaters because they don’t know who God is. But we shouldn’t be so foolish right?

Hosea 4:6

  My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge.

“Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests; because you have ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your children.

We can see that if we reject that God is a space eagle we are those who lack knowledge and are destroyed. God also rejects us as His priests why? Because He already showed us who He is, He is a space eagle. Also isn’t God’s law to press on to know Him and know who He really is? Since people reject who God is then He rejects us and not only us but our children as well. Then why do people reject God?

2 Thessalonians 2:10-12

They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.

The reason why people don’t accept that God is a space eagle and would rather believe the lie they are more comfortable with is because they refuse to love the truth and be saved.

Because of that God sends them a delusion to continue in their wrong thinking and eventually because they don’t believe the truth they will delight in wickedness. How can they expect to be saved? But we shouldn’t refuse the truth should we?

Then what happens if we abandon the truth and deny that we know that the bible says God is a space eagle?

2 Peter 2:21-22

It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have known it and then to turn their backs on the sacred command that was passed on to them. Of them the proverbs are true: “A dog returns to its vomit,”[g] and, “A sow that is washed returns to her wallowing in the mud.”

Those that come to know that God is a space eagle and then deny the truth that is clearly in the bible  are like a dog that returns to its vomit. It would have been better for them to not have known the truth.

We also shouldn’t follow such people that deny the truth of the bible. That is why Peter said the following in verse one.

2 Peter 2:1

But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them—bringing swift destruction on themselves.

False teachers will appear among the children of God and deny the lord who bought them, what happens when these people deny who God of the bible is? They are destroyed. Then what really is God as we have studied. Space Eagle. Then if someone comes and tells you otherwise then what are they? So clear.

Joshua 24:15

 “But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”

Therefore we as children of God must serve Him. If we want to serve Him, it means we should at least know who He is right? The bible clearly says He is a space eagle and anyone who disagrees is a false prophet.

Then if they are a false prophet they serve other God’s right? Then we should be like Joshua and say to ourselves, “But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”

I could go on and on and on but I think you get the point. Honestly this is as far as I am comfortable going.

After hearing this teaching, what are you going to say to me? Are you going to say “How could he know such things?” or “Who else could teach this way?” or “how could these other churches not know this truth?” 

But if you did ask me those things and I didn’t care about telling you the truth. I could tell you “I am something special”, or “I had a vision that God revealed this to me” or I could say “The other Church doesn't know this truth because it is sealed just like the seven thunders, it couldn’t be revealed until God’s appointed time.”

These answers would definitely elevate my biblical authority and control. Which would in turn squash any doubts or questions of authority.

You are probably thinking “This is blaspheme, this is a down right heresy!” or “This teaching is made up and just dumb.” 

To that I would say “how is it wrong, I used the bible? In fact everything I showed was in the bible.” I would also say “Show me what I said that wasn’t in the bible, did God not call himself an eagle or a bird multiple times? Didn’t God say that His invisible qualities are shown through creation? Why else would God say these things?.”

You may say “God being a space eagle is not biblical.” or “Show me in the bible where it says God is a space Eagle.”

My reply would simply be “Well where does the Bible say he isn’t?” Or “Did God lie when He likened Himself to an Eagle?” 

And on and on the conversation goes until we get tired or bored. One of the two. I know probably some people will splice this article like crazy and take it out of context to show their church that I am insane and believe God is a space eagle.

To be clear I don’t believe God is a space eagle, nor am I trying to get you to believe it. It was a demonstration of how these groups start and grow. 

Now do you see how ridiculous and dangerous proof texting can be? Do you see how convincing proof texting can be? This is how WMSCOG, Moonies, SCJ and others make their doctrines. It is not that hard. But it has obviously damning consequences. Then when these groups get scrutinized through the scriptures they resort to saying “well show me where the bible doesn’t say…”

But that is the problem isn’t it? These groups were implying what did not exist in the first place, then when confronted they turn around and say show me the verse where the bible doesn’t say or isn’t what I just said. How can the bible include a verse to deny something that never existed or was taught? It won’t. So this is a very bad argument.

In my made up God is a space eagle teaching. I implied that God was a space eagle based on my misunderstanding of the text. My insistence is already wrong because it itself was not based on the bible. Since the bible doesn’t say “God is a space eagle” in the first place how can you show me “God isn’t a space eagle” in the bible. You can’t because both phrases don’t exist in scripture and were never meant to be understood or taught like that.

It is the same with the WMSCOG saying “You need to keep Passover, Sabbath etc. to go to Heaven” without showing a verse that actually says that in the bible. If you question or challenge them they will say “show me in the bible were you don’t need to keep the Passover, Sabbath etc. to go to Heaven” but if their insistence isn’t in the bible to begin with, who can show a counter to that in the bible, if it doesn’t exist in the first place.

Both “You need to keep Passover, Sabbath etc. to go to Heaven” or “show me in the bible where you don’t need to keep the Passover, Sabbath etc. to go to Heaven” don’t exist in the bible. So neither can actually be shown. The argument is dead to begin with.

Here is another example. Let's say you're talking to a Shincheonji member, you will never know you are talking to one, but let’s say one approaches you. They started to tell you about how Lee Man Hee is the New John or Promised Pastor in Revelation and that you must listen to his interpretation.

You would likely ask “where does it say in revelation that there is a New John or Promised Pastor.” They can respond “well show me the verse that says there isn’t a New John or Promised Pastor.” Then can you show them that verse that says there isn’t? No you can’t, it doesn’t exist. That is my point, that is why that kind of argument is invalid regardless of who is doing it. 

The bible won’t have a verse denying something that the bible never intended to exist in the first place. This is how all of these groups work and each one follows the exact same pattern.

But let’s move on to what the bible says.

What does scripture tell us about the tree of life and does it match up to what the WMSCOG teaches.

Again if the WMSCOG is correct and the bible is in accordance with it then so be it. We should do what the WMSCOG says. However if the bible says something else, it means we have a decision to make on our hands, and a very hard decision at that. Follow the bible or follow Mother. You can’t have both. Choose wisely.

Now yes the bible teaches that there is indeed the tree of life. You can see the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil appearing in Genesis 2:15-17 then in Genesis 3:1-5 we see Eve being tempted by the serpent. Then in Genesis 3:6-7 they ate and their eyes were opened. Then versus 8-21 we see all the aftermath and the banishment of Adam and Eve and the blockage of the tree of life. 

Also God says whoever eats the fruit of the tree of life even though he sinned will live forever. Genesis 3:22.

This is all accurate and true. Now we are not going to go into the multiple meanings of Adam or Eve in this subject, or why God did what He did in the Garden. The whole purpose of this analysis is to see if the Tree of Life is the Passover and or Ahnsahnghong.

Then if the tree of life is the New Covenant Passover as the WMSCOG aka flesh and blood please show me the passage or verse that says that. If the tree of life is Christ, where is the verse or the passage that says so?

Or how about this, show me where the bible says Jesus brought the tree of life his first coming. I'll wait. It doesn’t exist. The only time Jesus says he will give someone the tree of life or let them eat from the tree of life is after they overcome it. 

Now I know the WMSCOG leader or member reading this is probably thinking “John 6 says when you eat Jesus flesh and blood you have eternal life, therefore Jesus is the tree of life.” Fair enough, however if you insist on the book of John here, there is a problem. John never mentions the bread and wine in his gospel. But I know you will then skip to “well Matthew, Mark and Luke say it is the bread and wine.”

However if you reference them there is a problem, they never say Jesus flesh and blood is necessary for eternal life. See this is the problem I was telling you about with proof texting. 

Now I am not going to go into depth on the New Covenant Passover as I have a an article on that already, click here if you would like to read.

But let’s say that the tree of life is indeed the New Covenant Passover. Let's follow the logic a little bit. Jesus came 2000 years ago and brought the tree of life which is the New Covenant Passover. Then after Jesus went up into heaven the Passover was abolished in 325 AD. Thus the way to eat from the tree of life was blocked. 

Then we have to ask the question, the WMSCOG claims that the New Covenant is the Everlasting Covenant prophesied in Isaiah 55:3 and Jeremiah 31:31 then, here, again I have a question.

If the New Covenant is the Passover bread and wine. According to the bible the New Covenant is Eternal and Everlasting. But according to WMSCOG the New Covenant Passover was abolished and destroyed. Then how can something be destroyed or abolished and be eternal and everlasting at the same time. It doesn’t make any sense.

If Jesus did indeed establish the bread and wine of the New Covenant Passover and it is indeed the everlasting covenant and that Ahnsahnghong restored the New Covenant Passover which is the everlasting covenant then I have a question. Show me the verse or passage where God said He is going to establish the Everlasting Covenant twice.

Or show me the verse or passage where it is prophesied that the Everlasting Covenant is established, then it is destroyed and then the New Covenant is established a second time because the WMSCOG is implying that this is the case. Which the bible never says. Jesus establishes the New Covenant and it lasts forever and will never be destroyed.

Then let's apply this logic to the tree of life. WMSCOG says that in the Garden God gave Adam and Eve the tree of life, they sinned and were blocked from the tree of life, Jesus came and established the New Covenant Passover aka brought the tree of life, then the New Covenant Passover was destroyed aka tree of life was blocked, Ahnsahnghong comes and restores the New Covenant Passover aka brought back the tree of life.

Then if we are going to believe that the Eternal or Everlasting Covenant is indeed Eternal or Everlasting as the bible and the dictionary clearly teaches and that Jesus did indeed establish the Eternal Covenant. Then it means that the WMSCOG’s New Covenant Passover aka the Tree of Life can not by definition be the Eternal or Everlasting Covenant that Jesus established.

Otherwise show me the verse that says or even implies that the Eternal Covenant is destroyed or abolished. Also show me where in the bible does it hint at Jesus bringing the tree of life? Not only that but show me in the bible where Jesus brings the tree of life but then God takes it away?

Not only that but show me the verse where Jesus brings the tree of life but then God takes it away, but then God brings the tree of life again a second time. It doesn’t exist in the bible. Another example of proof texting.

Well you may be still thinkining “God gave the tree of life to eat for salvation so it makes sense to eat the bread and wine for salvation”. Well let’s see a few verses.

Matthew 4:4

“Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”

Or what about 

John 15:3

“You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you.”

And one more.

Romans 14:17

“For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.”

I think the verses speak for themselves here, then who are you going to believe? The bible or the WMSCOG? Clearly the salvation of mankind is not simply a matter of eating or drinking.

Then you are probably saying “then what is the tree of life Mr. blogger guy”.

Good question, let's see what the bible says.

Proverbs 13:12

“Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a desire fulfilled is a tree of life.”

Here it appears the bible says that a desire fulfilled is a tree of life. Let’s see another verse.

Proverbs 15:4

“A gentle tongue is a tree of life,  but perverseness in it breaks the spirit.”

Gentle tongue is a tree of life. Let's see a couple more.

Proverbs 11:30

“The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and the one who is wise saves lives.”

Here the fruit of the righteous is a tree of life. Let’s see one more. 

Proverbs 3:13-18

“Blessed are those who find wisdom, those who gain understanding, for she is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold. She is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her. Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor. Her ways are pleasant ways, and all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her; those who hold her fast will be blessed.”

The bible tells us here that Wisdom is a tree of life. I have not found any verse in the bible even hinting to the New Covenant or Passover bread and wine is the Tree of life.

If anything it would make more sense for the WMSCOG to teach that Mother is the tree of life than trying to make the Passover the tree of life. I mean the WMSCOG believe that Jang Gil Jah is the source of wisdom or the embodiment of wisdom since they believe she is God. I am surprised that they don’t use this verse to teach that. 

Anyways. The tree of life appears to be metaphorical if you read the context of the verses we just read and have found no indication or evidence that the tree of life is the New Covenant Passover bread and wine.

Where is the prophecy of God establishing the tree of life on earth when Jesus came the first time? You have to prove that claim first before you try and convince someone about the tree of life being established a second time.

You don’t even have a prophecy or evidence that the tree of life was brought to the earth the first time. If I am wrong, please write in the comments where I can find these prophecies in the bible.

But then let's consider still that the tree of life is the New Covenant Passover.

Lets see a few verses really quick. 

Revelation 2:7

“Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.”

Now here we see the tree of life is given to those who overcome right? Then if the Passover of the New Covenant is the tree of life as the WMSCOG says. Then why is it only given to someone AFTER they overcome. This is very similar to the New Name issue. The New Name is only given to those AFTER they overcome. If you haven't read that article click here for the link to read that. It is the same with the Tree of Life.

Also remember this is the Church of Ephesus which according to the WMSCOG has the timeline of 31 AD - 106 AD. Which according to the WMSCOG is the Apostolic Age that had the perfect truth because the weeds hadn’t been sown. Which means that according to the WMSCOG the Ephesus church did indeed have the tree of life AKA the New Covenant Passover since God had not blocked the way yet. Here is the problem.

If the WMSCOG timeline is indeed correct which means that the Apostles therefore had access to the tree of life. Then why does God say I will give you the right to the tree of life AFTER you overcome? If the Passover of the New Covenant is the tree of life and keeping the Passover is the same as eating from the tree of life, wouldn’t the Apostles have already eaten from it?

Then why is God saying after you overcome I will give you the tree of life? They already had it. Is God going to allow those who overcome a different tree of life? How many trees of lifes are there? According to the WMSCOG there is only one and it is only Passover so how does that work?

The Passover is the tree of life and if you eat you will live forever, why is God going to give you another one? What is the point of another tree of life apart from the Passover? Does the new tree of life that God gives let you live forever to? If so then we can’t say the Passover is the reality of the tree of life anymore.

Also I thought the flesh and blood aka Passover was the reality of the tree of life. Then is the tree of life being given AFTER overcoming the reality of reality? Then wouldn’t that make Jesus flesh and blood the shadow? How can you then say you need to eat from the tree of life to live forever which is to keep the Passover in order to eat from the tree of life to live forever.

Do I need to eat Passover to live forever or the actual tree of life God gives me after coming to live forever? If eating from the tree of life that God gives me after overcoming doesn’t make me live forever, then why does God bother to give it to me?

If Passover is the tree of life and lets me live forever, there is no reason for God to give me another tree of life later to eat and live forever. You can’t have both, it does not make any sense. Show me through the scriptures how any of what we just talked about makes sense.

The whole thing comes crumbling down doesn’t it. Because if you insist that the tree of life is the New Covenant Passover, these questions deserve to be answered.

Now I know you might be thinking “well this is a different tree of life God gives not necessarily the Passover, since it is in the paradise of God it is the real or spiritual tree of life.”

Then you will have to admit that the tree of life can be something different then the Passover right? If you admit that the tree of life can be different than the Passover then this whole teaching falls apart and lacks any relevance.

If the tree of life can be something other than the Passover how can you distinguish between the different tree of life's considering there is no evidence in the bible saying the Passover is the tree of life? This is where proof texting is dangerous and where groups like the WMSCOG take unsuspecting, innocent, God fearing people who just want to seek God and turn them into their minions to do their evil bidding under the guise of gospel work or God’s will.

That is why I am fighting.

Shincheonji says that the tree of life is the words of Lee Man Hee, do you believe it? Then why or why not? Show me in the bible where it says that the tree of life is not Lee Man Hees words? As we saw in Proverbs 3, isn't wisdom the tree of life? So then how is it not Lee Man Hee, he seems pretty wise, at least his followers seem to think so, otherwise they wouldn’t follow him right?

Or what about Reverend Moon of the Unification Church. Show me in the bible where it says that the tree of life is not Reverend Moon? Proverbs 13:12 said that the tree of life is a desire fulfilled and many of Moon’s followers say he fulfills their desires, then that means he is the tree of life right? Why not?

You are probably screaming to yourself “It is not what the scriptures say.” Then if you go with that insistence you can’t insist on the Passover being the tree of life because the bible doesn’t say it is does it? Meaning the WMSCOG is wrong just like the Moonies and SCJ. Let’s end this.

Revelation 7:14

“I answered, “Sir, you know.”

And he said, “These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.”

Here the great multitude washed their robes in the blood of the lamb. According to WMSCOG this means that they have kept Passover. Keep that in mind, now let’s see.

Revelation 22:14

“Blessed are those who wash their robes,  so that they may have the right to the tree of life and that they may enter the city by the gates.”

Now here we run into the same problem. If keeping Passover is washing your robes and Passover is the tree of life. Then why does God say that only after you wash your robes will you have the right to the tree of life? Wouldn’t they already have it? If they already had the tree of life aka Passover then what is the point of God giving them the tree of life again?

If the people who washed their robes aka kept Passover had eternal life already why does God give them the tree of life again? Does the tree of life let you live forever?  If so then why does God give it to you twice? Is one more valid than the other? Are their two trees of life but they are different in substance but equal in blessing?

Then what is your basis of how to distinguish between the different trees of life in the bible and how do you know if it is talking about the actual tree of life or the Passover? Where is the verse saying the tree of life is the Passover so we can make that distinction. Again these questions need to be answered, especially if you are going to claim you have the truth and the tree of life.

But you won’t and you can’t through the bible. Which means that the tree of life is not the Passover and that Ahnsahnghong is not God because he did not bring the tree of life.

The tree of life is in the Garden of God and in God’s appointed time He will unblock the way to the tree of life finally and let those who overcome eat of it and rest forever and ever. Truly thanks be to our God and saviour.
